How to take it: Mix one packet of Eboost Super Fuel with 12 ounces of cold water and let it dissolve. Drink 1-2 per day for general hydration.

Since it contains caffeine, be sure to discuss it with your doctor first, especially if you are sensitive to caffeine.

2. Liquid IV Hydration Multiplier

Liquid IV is another electrolyte powder I recommend often, and I take myself. There are a multiple Liquid IV packet options to choose from, such as energy packets containing caffeine and immune support options. Today, we’re going to focus on the standard caffeine-free hydration multiplier. 

The hydration multiplier is available in various flavors, is non-GMO, and contains 5 essential vitamins and minerals such as B vitamins and vitamin C.

I take the Liquid IV Hydration Multiplier before my longer runs or extra sweaty workouts as it is higher in carbs and is more concentrated in electrolytes. There is also a caffeinated and sugar-free version that are good options as well, depending on your preference.

Who is it for: This Liquid IV product is great for someone looking for fuel before, during, or after longer workout sessions. It contains more added sugar than other electrolyte powders, but if you work out longer than an hour, you’ll burn it off and need the sugar.

If you are trying to lose weight and are not very active, this would not be the best product for you as it contains more added sugar that you would not burn off. In this case, the sugar-free Liquid IV that is sweetened with Stevia, a natural calorie-free sweetener, would be a better choice.

How to take it: Mix 1 packet in 16 ounces of cold water. I take a few sips during my longer runs every mile or so or drink about 8 ounces before my run if I’m running in hot and humid conditions.

It is organic, vegan, non-GMO, paleo and keto-friendly, and gluten-free. It is sweetened naturally with Stevia leaf extract.

It is higher in electrolytes, especially sodium, than the other electrolyte powders on this list, which is good if you tend to sweat a lot during workouts or are engaging in a longer workout. 

This is because you lose sodium through sweat, and keeping your sodium levels up can support performance and reduce muscle cramps.

However if you’re trying to watch your sodium intake or have high blood pressure, this product may be too high in sodium for you.
